It is considered that the ox chop originated in Tolosa, as this is where it was consumed for the first time.
In the 60´s they replaced beef with ox, an animal that was only used to work the land, and it was so successful, that it became another alternative for consumption. Currently, many men and women consider it to be the “star” of meat varieties.
Tolosa has the best chops and the best male and female grill chefs, much to the delight of the men and women of Tolosa and visitors.
Also, every year the Chop Fair is organised, where this spectacular product is exhibited, along with the work of the men and women who are the masters of our grill houses.
