Guided tours in Tolosa for this summer

In addition to the guided visits that take place during the year, the Council of Tolosa offers both locals and visitors the chance to discover the inside of the 2 churches of Tolosa. The Old Quarter of Tolosa, the Saturday market, the Church of the Convent of Santa Clara and the Parish of Santa María will be the stars of these visits.
This summer, visitors who come to see Tolosa as well as those spending their holidays in the town, will have another activity to enjoy: The Council of Tolosa will offer free visits to discover the Church of Santa Clara and the Parish of Santa María.
The council hopes that the opportunity to visit the 2 churches of Tolosa will attract more visitors and also the inhabitants of the town, as this is a request that has often been received. Every Saturday there will be a visit lasting for an hour and a half that will begin at the Convent of Santa Clara. The convent has very rarely opened its doors; therefore, it is a great unknown for most of the people of Tolosa. There, among other things, it is possible to see the Virgin of Iurre, the altars and several works of art. In turn, the Parish of Santa María will exhibit its organ, sculptures, paintings and many other hidden treasures.
Likewise, during the week, Tolosaldea Tour offers visits to discover the town´s Old Quarter and the markets that are held on Saturday in its main squares, for a price of 3 Euros.
Timetable and calendar
The visits organised by the Council of Tolosa will be free, and will take place from 15 July to 31 August. The Parish of Santa María will be open from Monday to Friday, from 11 am to 2 pm, and there will be a guided visit from midday to 1 pm. On Saturday the parish will open from 11 am to midday. The guided visits to the two churches will take place on Saturdays and begin at midday in the Convent of Santa Clara.
The visits to the Old Quarter organised by Tolosaldea Tour will take place from Monday to Sunday during July, and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during August. The visits will take place at several times and in different languages. On the other hand, visits to the markets of Tolosa will take place on Saturdays at 11 am in the morning. These visits cost €3.
