Gardens of the Tree of Gernika

The spectacular Gingko biloba and the offshoot of the Tree of Gernika, the oak that symbolises the rights of the Basques, really stand out.

At Christmas, a very peculiar nativity scene is placed in this park, a work by the artist Iñaki Epelde.

Of the offshoots of the Tree of Gernika, the healthiest is in Tolosa.

An oak tree that is a descendent of the one that is at the entrance of the Assembly House of Gernika.

- Gingko biloba comes from China.
It was the only species that survided the Hiroshima bomb. This specimen is more than 130-years-old. The colour it takes on in autumn is impressive.
