Snail Sauce
During Holy Week, following tradition, Tolosa organises a festival devoted to snails.
In the morning, a snail race is organised in Plaza Trianguloa, and anybody can participate in this strange race. Having said that, everyone is recommended to bring their own snail! (if not, there are normally snails in the plaza).
Afterwards, a tasting of snails is held there in the same place. During the morning, more than 2,000 snails are cooked, and they can be enjoyed with a glass of wine, for 2.50 Euros
During Holy Week, some bars and restaurants in the province normally include them on the menu.
